Kong: Skull Island; Raw; My Scientology Movie; Thor: Ragnarok; Star Trek: Discovery; Deadpool 2; Late Shift; Jurassic World 2; Geostorm; Looney Tunes; The Little Mermaid

  • KONG: SKULL ISLAND: Monster movies are back, leading to a discussion of our favorite ones of all time. The original monster, King Kong, looks to have a pretty good reboot movie out this weekend, with strong reviews coming in.
  • WEEKEND BOX OFFICE PREVIEW: In addition to Kong, a strange movie called Raw comes out this weekend. It appears to be some kind of cannibal type of film? Also, yet another Scientology movie is out, called "My Scientology Movie".
  • THOR: RAGNAROK IMAGES: Taiki Waititi's upcoming movie in the Thor franchise, finally released some set photos and they did not disappoint. From a short-haired Thor, to the Goddess of Death, to Jeff Goldblum, this may be the best one yet.
  • STAR TREK: DISCOVERY GETS A CAPTAIN: The oft pushed back series will focus on a Lieutenant, played by Sonequa Martin-Green. However, there will be a captain named Lorca, played by Jason Isaacs.
  • DEADPOOL 2: The teaser that played before Logan shows us what a polar opposite R-Rated superhero movie that Deadpool is. Could this also be the jumping off point for an X-Force film?
  • LATE SHIFT: Late Shift is an upcoming interactive film game, being released on PS4, XBox and Steam. The viewer will be presented with 180 decisions and 7 different endings to choose from.
  • JURASSIC WORLD 2: Our first image has emerged to give us a look at Jurassic World 2. It doesn't tell us a lot, but will the premise be that the knowledge of how to clone dinosaurs goes open-source?
  • GEOSTORM: Fans of natural disaster movies will get a little bit of everything in this movie, set in the distant future where technology controls the weather.
  • LOONEY TUNES STREAMING SERVICE: Boomerang is on pace to become an animated warehouse, grabbing the rights to stream 1000 episodes of cartoons, including Looney Tunes.
  • LITTLE MERMAID: The upcoming live action movie is not made by Disney, instead focusing on the original fairy tale. The trailer proves to be brilliantly bad.
